Thomas Deacon Academy was one of the first new Academies to be established and the Hi-Tech, Award winning building was completed in 2007 at a cost of £50 million. It is the largest single, sponsored Academy in the country and is located within its own 43 acre landscaped campus with unrivalled sports facilities. The Main Academy covers 19,000 square metres over three levels with an atrium style entrance hall. Our new Junior Academy of 2,150 square metres, which opened in September 2014, gives students automatic right of entry to the Main Academy. All facilities are fully DDA compliant with disabled access to all areas, hearing loops and large print notices readily available.
